Catching up...Days 39-46

I have been keeping up with most of the photos, just not the posting.  Here are the latest in the 365 Project.

Day 39
A New Hat

Day 40

Siblings
As sweet as this looks, his intentions were completely malicious.
He led her to the sprinkler, assuring her that it was safe.  That the sprinkler was set very, very low.  As soon as he had her confidence, he bolted to the faucet and turned it to full blast.  Little booger!

Day 41

My little Monkey!

Day 42

The Ice Cream Truck
This was their first experience with the ice cream truck.  Gannon was so excited!  He got to hand the lady the money, and they each got to pick out their own treat.  I think it is safe to say that it was a huge hit!

Day 43

A Day at the Park
We met up with Jeremy and Rachelle's boys for a much needed play date.  The kids were beyond excited to see each other.  My poor Austyn-Baby always seems like she is trying to catch up with her boys.

Day 44

Spiderman!

Day 45

I DID IT!!!
Today, we celebrated Austyn's first accident-free day!  We are all so proud!
*I have to add here, that as of now (when I am actually getting around to updating this blog), she has had FOUR accident-free days!!

Day 46

Shapes
Austyn got this magnetic shape book for Christmas, and she loves it.  She is so proud that she can match and identify all the colors and shapes.  My baby girl is growing up way to fast!

The "Old People" Come to Texas

So, Mom and Dad call us to say they want to come for a visit.  Mom asked if we would mind some "old people" tagging along, ha.  Of course not!  They brought along Nonnie and Mawmaw!  We don't tell the kids when we are expecting company because, being that they are two and four, they aren't the best at waiting.  They were surprised to see Mimi and Pappy at the front door Friday night, and even more surprised to see Mawmaw and Nonnie follow them in.  They weren't really sure what to do...Very funny.  I am pretty disappointed in myself for not taking more pictures, but I got caught up in the company and er, uh, I for.got :/

Take a look at Gannon's new accessory.  This was not even an attempt to show off.  He was playing outside and we peeked out to see this.

"Look Mimi!!  No diaper!!"  Is this green?

Austyn sang "Yummy, yummy, yummy, I got love in my tummy" All. Morning. Long.  Mimi tried to escape, but A sang to her under the door :)

This is how my very animated little princess tells a story.

Sunday, we grilled burgers for lunch.  Mimi and the munchkins decided to eat outside.  It was yuuummmmyyyy!!

These two women, my Nonnie and my Mawmaw, have inspired me more than they will ever know. I am so blessed to have them in my life, and I am also incredibly grateful for the relationship my kids have with their "Greats".

Day 38

This just about sums up their relationship!  Love them!

Day 37

These two women, my Nonnie and my Mawmaw, have inspired me more than they will ever know. I am so blessed to have them in my life, and I am also incredibly grateful for the relationship my kids have with their "Greats".

Day 36

We are so blessed to have a family that loves us so much.  This weekend, Mom and Dad got Nonnie and Mawmaw to come with them to Longview.  It was a great weekend!  The kids were so excited and surprised to see everyone!  Stay tuned for more photos!

Day 35

I moved the chairs out of the kitchen so I could sweep and mop. Who knew I built an amazing new city filled with magical bridges and tunnels

Day 34

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Day 32

A Walk in the Park.... Yesterday was such a beautiful day. Walking here, and seeing this single burst of color, was a great reminder that Spring is on its way!

Day 31

I love that little spaghetti face!

Day 30

Here is part  two of our bathtub photo shoot.  My baby inked herself!  She looks cute though, right?

Day 29

Okay, please forgive me here, but I have to cheat just a little bit here.  Things have been crazy-busy around here, and it seems photography is where I have to bend a little.  We did a photo shoot in the bathtub, and I got so many great shots.  So, I am making G Day 29, and A Day 30.

Day 24

I know I have already mentioned this, but I just can't get enough of it!  Although they do fight hard when they fight, they love harder when they love.  They aren't even doing the same thing, but they feel comfortable just knowing the other is there beside them.

Day 21

The weather is perfect.  We have been staying outside longer, and the kids love it.  Our driveway is long and sloped...that makes for a fantastic race track!

God is Great...

God is good.  Let us spank Him for our food.  Amen.

*Funny how kids hear things ;p*

My Handy Hubby

Well, Bryan and I have been searching for the perfect computer desk.  One that we both love that isn't over $1000.  We finally decided that it isn't going to be possible, so my wonderfully handy (and handsome) hubby is going to build one himself!  I'll post updates later, but for now, here is the start.

Day 23

Day 22

This was Gannon's first experience at the hibachi grill.  I love how the expression on his face changes as he sees what is going on!

Day 19

Wacky Wednesday!

Today, Gannon's school honored Dr. Seuss by having a Wacky Wednesday party.  The children were all to wear wacky clothes.  Gannon had so much fun dressing himself.  He truly did pick out the wackiest things (I guess he is rebelling because I am so picky??).  Here are a few pictures from the morning.

Day 18

These are the moments that make my heart smile.  They asked if they could sleep together, and of course, I said yes.  How could I resist?

On a side note, please forgive the sloppy photography this week.  I am single-momming it until Friday, and potty training is taking absolutely all that I have.

Day 16

Today was a toss-up.  The first photo is the one I chose for the project.  The next one is a close second.  I just love them both.

I love the wind in her dress and the softness in her face.

Do you remember what it was like to be this free?

365 Project 2011

So I have decided to attempt the 365 Project for 2011.  I will document my progress here.  Check out the link if you want to find out more, but basically it is a daily photo journal that documents your year.

I am having so much fun with it so far!  It is a great way for me to journal what is going on in our lives, while developing my photography skills at the same time.  I know these are baby steps, but I definitely feel like I am making progress.

And, I know, I know....I am supposed to be choosing one photo, but it is just so dang hard sometimes ;)
