Let's Get Pinning: Summer Fashion

It is Wednesday again, which means....Oh, How Pinteresting! with Michelle over at The Vintage Apple.

Does anyone else wish Pinterest had a store with all of their outfit ideas put together and ready to purchase?  Even better--it should all be arranged by size!  Oh, yeah, wait.....it would also be nice if some of it just happened to be in my price range!  Oh, well.  A girl can dream, right?  Here are some of my "Would love to haves" for summer this year.

Let's Get Pinning: Baby M!

Well, after my doctor's appontment Friday and all the activity this week, I think it is reasonable to expect that I have got Baby M on my mind all the time!  So what better to post about for this week's edition of "Oh, How Pinteresting!"?

First thing's first...Every hospital door needs something hanging from it to represent the newest addition!  I have to pick out two of everything since I don't know who Baby M is, yet.  Now, realistically, these won't get made because, let's face it, there won't be time.  But they are still super, super cute!

This is how we plan to introduce Baby M to the world (after the grandparents have made it here, of course!)  Will that letter be an M or a P???

Here are a few ideas I have for the nursery:

I want to do this with baby portraits and stats instead of the wedding stuff.

Pinned Image

I want to make one of these for each of the kids with what they wore in the hospital.  I have all their stuff in a box, but this would be much cuter!

Pinned Image

This is such a great idea, and I am definitely going to use it!  Baby's room DOOR MUFF allows you to open and close your baby's room door without making a noise!

For those of you who actually know me, you know that today is a very big day.  It's LEAP day!  I have been nervous about this day throughout the whole pregnancy...I mean, no one wants to be born on Leap Day, right?  Let's just hope we get through today with no activity, then Baby M is welcome to join us at any time :)

For more baby ideas, check out Baby M's board on my Pinterest page!  Have a great week!  See y'all next Wednesday!

Let's Get Pinning: It's Lent!

Now that Mardi Gras is over, it is time to think about Lent.  I have been brainstorming what I should give up, but I keep coming up empty-handed.  I think I have finally found it, though.  That being said...

It's Wednesday!  Which means it is time for another linky party with Michelle over at The Vintage Apple!

This year, I am not giving anything up for Lent.  Well, actually, that's not entirely true.  This year, I am making a commitment to getting organized.  So I guess you could say that I am giving up clutter and chaos.  Okay, okay--so that is not entirely true either--I know there will always be chaos, especially with three kiddos!  I live for that kind of chaos.  I am talking about the chaos that is a messy house ;)

Pinterest has been most helpful in giving me creative ideas on how to get organized easily.  Those of you who know me know that I am not the best--er, um, uh--okay I am not good at all at keeping organized.  I need all the help I can get.  These are some pins to help me in my Lenten journey.

I have no idea where I would put these (yet), but I just love the idea--They are "crap baskets" with name labels. At the end of the day everyone takes their own crap and puts it away!

This would be perfect for the metal conversion charts Mom gave me for Christmas!  It would also be a great place for the grocery list and a few other small things.

This is a cute mail system.  Easy and cheap, too!

Pinned Image

I really want to do this in the hallway.  Now that Austyn has ballet, and Gannon is about to start baseball again-not to mention kindergarten-this is great.  I can write out schedules, homework assignments, doctor's appointments, etc. on the boards, and they have a place for their backpack/dance bag (don't forget diaper bag)!  Plus, it's pretty :)

Pinned Image

This checklist is perfect!  Okay, so most of it doesn't apply to me, but the idea is great.  I have already modified all the chores to fit our household, I just need to figure out how to make it pretty like she did.

Pinned Image

Part of me wants to dedicate a portion of the pantry (if I can find room) to this idea.  Just take 4-5 baskets and fill them with all the ingredients for the meals you have planned for the week.  That way, each night, you just pull out the baskets--looks like a real time saver, not to mention a good way to be sure you actually have everything you need before you start cooking, ha!

Pinned Image

I am just dying to do this!!  I found this on a blog a couple of years ago, and I love it!  It is just expensive.  I am slowly accumulating all the containers to store everything in, and my pantry is looking better and better.  I just can't wait until it is complete!  Oh, and I would love my pantry to have yellow walls, too!

If you want to see more, just head on over to Pinterest, and check out my boards!  Do you celebrate Lent?  What are you giving up?  Or doing extra?

See yall next Wednesday!

Let's Get Pinning: Sweet Treats!

It's Wednesday again, which means it is time for another linky party! It's Oh, How Pinteresting with Michelle over at The Vintage Apple.

Since Baby M has me craving all things sweet this week, I decided there was nothing better to post about!

These mini apple pies look absolutely delish, and hey--it's fruit!  It can't be that bad, right??
Pinned Image

And, seriously!  Who thought of flattening out cinnamon rolls to use as a pie crust for apple pie?!  Genius!

We made this Coca Cola cake the other day, and it was really yummy.  But, I would definitely recommend cutting the recipe in half unless you are having a big party.  It made tons, and it is super rich.

Oreos.  Need I say more?

Homemade Butterfingers??  Yes, please!

strawberries, angel food cake, and chocolate--OH MY!

And I'll leave you with one that actually IS healthy--homemade strawberry frozen yogurt :)

Happy Wednesday, everyone!  See yall next week!

Let's Get Pinning: Love is in the Air!

It's Wednesday again, which means it is time for another linky party! It's Oh, How Pinteresting with Michelle over at The Vintage Apple.

Since Valentine's Day is next week, I guess I should get busy on the treats and favors for the kids' classes at school! With that on my mind, I decided that this post would be all about this lovely holiday :)

Here are the super-treats I am making for Gannon's class. Just click on the picture to follow the link.

Pinned Image

I really want to make these for A's class, but I can't find the shovels for a reasonable price. Boo.

Pinned Image

Since I can't find shovels, and my little princess loves butterflies, I am going to be making these for her class :) I think she will like them.

Pinned Image

These rice crispy treats are just perfect for class parties!

Pinned Image

These I just think are too cute not to make, so I may give them out to my co-workers :)

Pinned Image

Don't worry, we will be having a yummy breakfast, too.

For Bryan: strawberries and Nutella on toast :)
Pinned Image

For my munchkins: Heart-shaped pancakes
Pinned Image

And for me:  eggs!

No holiday is complete without proper attire, right? I am going to attempt to make the kids Valentine's Day outfits this year. I hope they turn out okay.

This is what I have in mind for my G-man:

And these are just too cute not to make for Austy-Baby!

Let's Get Pinning: Football Parties!

"Are you ready for some football??"

It's Wednesday again, which means it is time for another linky party!  It's Oh, How Pinteresting with Michelle over at The Vintage Apple.

Superbowl Sunday is this weekend, and it has me excited and sad at the same time.  I am excited about the game, of course, and I can't wait to cheer on Eli Manning.  But it depresses me at the same time because we can't spend the day with family, friends, and food.  Well, I can do the food myself, but it just doesn't make sense...It will mostly go to waste if I do.

If we were home, these pins would be my Pinspriation for some very yummy snacks!

And, finally, I must find a place for something like this!  I just love it!
