Gannon is wrapping up his third ball season. He is really such a great athelete. He makes me proud out there! He was pretty upset that he had to play tee ball again, though. He was so upset, in fact, that he wanted to quit. He wanted to wait until next year, when there would be no more tee. After lots and lots of talking, he finally decided to play this year! I am so glad he did :)
This is Gan's buddy, Brantley. He is Chloe's (from the recital) little brother. We are really going to miss this family. They are really, really great people!!
He hit a double!
Click here and here to see a couple videos of him on the bases. I am not sure why, but YouTube is acting up, and I cannot post them directly to the blog.
Here is Brant...he is a little perfectionist, and loves to measure up several times before swinging big. And it is worth it! He is a really good little hitter!
And here is the cheering section. Mia loves to clap and cheer for the Marlins. Really, she loves to clap and cheer anytime she hears someone else getting excited.
**In other news, Mia is sporting her very first ponytail! AND...a BOW!!
These two right here......well, there isn't much I can say. They are characters by themselves. Together....there are no words :)
Austyn Elisabeth will be participating in a pre-k graduation at the end of the month. Yes, I said graduation. I know what you are thinking....She's much too young! Actually, she will be five this summer! That's right, my friends. She's graduating...or as she calls it, gradulating.
We were asked to provide photos of the kiddos for a slide show that will play throughout the ceremony, and I thought you might like to see the photos we chose.
Today, Austyn performed in her second dance recital with Fusion Dance Academy. She had a blast, and she did really well! She is taking a ballet/tap combo class, so she was able to dance on the stage twice.
Her tap routine was first on the bill. The theme of the recital was "It's All Fun and Games" so each number was named after a game of some sort. They wore red costumes, and danced to "Rockin' Robin." What better name than Angry Birds for their first number?!
*She is the one on the far left, looking the other way ;)*
Their ballet routine was done to "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" and featured giant flowers. The title of this routine was He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not. Austyn did so much better this year in both routines! She really enjoyed herself this year :) Not that she didn't last year, but last year she was the girl who just smiled and waved at the audience, ha!
She is the second from the right.
I snapped this photo of her after dress rehearsal the day before. She was so excited to have found a flower to match her costume!
What a difference a year makes!
Gannon is a very typical six-year-old boy. And with that comes six-year-old-boy jokes and pranks. He has discovered bunny ears, and he gives them in every photo! Silly boy :)
Austyn was so excited that her big friend, Chloe, came to see her recital! Chloe is an excellent dancer, and Austyn felt very proud to have her in the audience. We get to go see Chloe dance in her recital very soon!
The grands :)
Our little family <3 p="">
I am so proud of my little ballerina, and I can't wait for many, many more dance recitals! 3>
East Elementary celebrates the end of the school year with Track Day. It is a big track meet filled with lots of fun events for all the kiddos. They split the school into two groups, K-1 and 2-3. Each child participates in two events. Gannon was assigned to compete in the snow cone races and the 100-meter- dash. Here are a few photos and videos from the day.
It is really hard work to be in the cheering section for all this stuff ;)
I had to stand too far back (100 meters, to be exact) to get a before picture of Gannon at his race, but here is a video of him running.
And here he is with another first place ribbon!
This is Gannon and his friend, Annaliece. She is the one screaming for him in the video ;) Turns out, her dad is from Lake Charles, and his aunt teaches with Mom at Lewis! Such a small world!
These two placed first in both their events, and they were super proud!
She was so good the whole time...But then again, she always is :)
