Splish Splash!

I have posted before how much Mia-Girl loves her bath.  Well, her love is only growing.  She is even learning to splash and play!  She kicks those little feet like they are going to paddle her away to a magical land.  Although she does smile quite a bit in the tub, she more often displays intense concentration.

Just look at those sweet smiles :)

Mia-Girl has some big blue eyes, just like her big sister did.  That's right, I said did.  Miss Austyn's are getting a little bit greener each day.  She will end up a green-eyed girl like her mommy!  I wonder what Mia's will do...

Mia-Bug is motor-boating away!!

I can't believe just how fast she is growing! It seems each baby grows a little bit faster. I am sure that is because with each babe, life gets just a little crazier! It is a crazy chaos that I wouldn't trade for anything in the whole world :)

First Sacrament

On May 6, 2012, we officially welcomed our sweet Mia into the Catholic family. Coincidentally, exactly nine years ago, on May 6, 2003, Bryan and I began our fairy tale! You can read about that here. It is exciting to me that we share that special date with our little caboose--almost like book ends for our family.

We decided to have Mia baptized in Lake Charles since that is where our family is. We wanted to share this special day with the people we love, and we knew it would just be too hard for them to come see us. We are especially grateful to Nonnie for getting this set up, and to Our Lady Queen of Heaven for allowing us to baptize our angel there even though that isn't the church we currently attend.

The ceremony was beautiful, and I am thankful for my friend, Katie, for being there for us to take some photos of this event.

Also, a very special thank you to Micha and Shawn for agreeing to be godparents to our Mia-girl.

Everything about this day was perfect...Well, almost perfect. There were a few people who are very special to us that just couldn't make it, but we all lead busy lives.

Thank yall for celebrating our joys with us! We love you (those here with us, and those with us in spirit)!

I sure do wish Pawpaw D could have been here with us, and that he could know Mia, but I know he has a front row seat to everything now that he is in Heaven.

Tiny Dancer

Ball-change, cha cha cha!
Arabesque!
Plie'!

You guessed it! Last night was Austyn's very first ballet recital! She had the time of her life! I never realized how hard it would be to prepare a three-year-old for a recital! Make-up, hair, etc...Not easy to do on a tiny little person! Here is what we got. I think she is the prettiest ballerina princess ever, but I may be just a little partial ;)

Austyn even had a special visitor come to surprise her all the way from Bossier City!

Here is the proud big brother waiting patiently for the show to begin:

After Austyn was dressed and ready, he told her, "You look really nice. Actually, you are pretty much gorgeous!" He can be so sweet!!

Here is a shot of the two of them before she went back stage:

There was no flash photography allowed at the recital, so these photos are pretty, um, interesting. Just pretend they are clear...You get the idea!

She wasn't the best little tapper, she mainly just stood there and smiled. Oh, and waved to us, a lot!

She did much better with her ballet routine. She there was hardly a time when all the girls were together, but that is the best part of the little ones' routine!

This one really makes me laugh...

My sweet little princess, I couldn't be any more proud!
She even got flowers, which totally made her night. She thought she was something else!

First recital was a success! Congratulations, my Tiny Dancer!

.....I guess Mia was a little jealous that she didn't get to dance ;)

Spidey and Spider-Girl to the Rescue!!

When I uploaded Gannon's graduation video to YouTube, I stumbled upon an old video of Gannon and Austyn playing superheroes.  The chairs and bar stools from the kitchen were all moved into the living room because I was sweeping and mopping, and they always have so much fun with them.  They are cities, bridges, tunnels, etc.  This time, they were the setting for a very important rescue mission.  As you can hear Austyn say, "We have an emergency to save somebody!!"

Hope you enjoy!

The Graduate

Gannon graduated!  From Pre-K, that is.  I can't believe that this is his last summer as a "pre-schooler".  My baby boy is going to kindergarten!  Holy wow!  Where has the time gone?!  Just look at how handsome he is all dressed up for his ceremony!  He's pretty silly, too!

My "bigs" all dressed up and ready to go!

And I thought it was hard to get two to look at me and smile ;)

Gannon led everyone in The Lord's Prayer.  He did such a good job!  Bryan and I were so proud of him!  If you know Gannon, you know how shy he can be, and you know how huge this is for him!

This is what Austyn did during the ceremony.

...and Mia slept!
Daddy and his girls ;)

Here is a photo of Gannon receiving his diploma!

Gannon and his teachers

 My little graduate!

We couldn't video because they had a videographer there, but I did get a little snippet of one of the acts.  Here is Gannon singing about "Wonderful Words"

If anyone has the secret that slows these munchkins down, please share!
